About me
Anike’s passion is caring for children with special needs, an industry she has worked within for fifteen years. Her experience spans volunteering at an orphanage in Peru, gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, a role as Secretary of the Cambridge Nigerian Society, and co-founding the Tech for disAbility working group.
After gaining her degree, Anike went to work in a special needs school where she taught children with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and OCD. Her desire to do more to help parents of children with additional needs led her to develop Lapapoe. An organization focused on supporting families of children with special needs by providing respite care. She has won awards from UnLtd, was featured in the Waltham Forest Echo newspaper and was a semi-finalist in the 2019 MSDUK Innovation challenge in London.
Since relocating back to Atlanta, she joined the cohort of women on the Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative, collaborated with Switzer Library to host Disability & Dialogue, and FOCUS to host Through Different Lenses podcast; increasing advocacy and awareness.
She has been featured in Hypepotamus, Waltham Forest Echo and Atlanta Small Business Network magazines. She was also selected as a PCA Ambassador in 2026.
